ERNEST WAS HERE!
Back then in 1950, when our place was still called the “Deutscher Kaiser”, Ernest Hemingway was passing through and decided to stop off for a glass of Tyrolean wine.
So, there is a good reason not just to name our restaurant after him, but also to honour the remarkable lifestyle of the well-travelled winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature.
The fact that Hemingway was something of a gourmet and knew how to appreciate good wine just makes it all the more relevant.
In our rooms there are many small things that remind us of the great author, who spent nearly all his life travelling.
Whether daiquiris or mojitos, Rioja or tapas – his travels are also echoed in our menu.
Our own beer garden also offers the relaxing atmosphere of southern climes during the summer.
